I am a musician from Bangalore, India, currently studying Music Technology at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Starting with a foundation in drumming, I am now pursuing a career in studio recording, live sound, sound design, and music production. My favourite genres include Gospel, Jazz-Fusion, Neo-Soul, and R&B, with Casiopea, Tom Misch, and Kirk Franklin always on loop.
Before coming to the Conservatoire, I worked with Harmony – The Music School in Bangalore, where I taught and mentored younger students while performing in shows across the city. I also toured the UK with the Harmony Chorus Choir, performing at the Isle of Man and the Purcell School of Music. This experience played a big part in inspiring me to pursue my musical education in the UK.
Alongside my studies, I currently perform as a drummer and percussionist with the RBC Indian Ensemble and Folk Ensemble. Being part of these groups has allowed me to explore different musical traditions and collaborate with some incredibly talented musicians, many of whom I continue to learn from.
BGMe has given me the opportunity to tap into my love for video game music while also exploring my passion for sound engineering. I always have a blast working on the tech team, refining the sound and getting to hear the brilliant music arranged and performed by the ensemble. It’s genuinely one of my favourite parts of being at the Conservatoire, and I’m always excited to see what we get to play and work on next.
