The Witcher 3

Eredin, King of the Hunt

Composer: Marcin Przybyłowicz

Arranger: James Sharif

About

The Witcher 3 set opens with a brief quotation of Lady of the Lake, a melody derived from Dusk of a Northern Kingdom from the original Witcher game. This reference to the series’ beginnings leads into Eredin, King of the Hunt, the theme of the Wild Hunt’s fearsome leader and Geralt’s ultimate adversary.

Driven by powerful rhythms and dark, imposing textures, the music reflects the relentless nature of the Wraiths of Mörhogg and the threat they pose to the continent. As an introduction to the concert’s Witcher 3 programme, the piece establishes both the state of the world and the dark forces at the heart of its story.
